Au.D. Externship – 4th Year
The Center for Hearing and Speech offers one, full-time pediatric audiology externship a year. This is a 12-month externship that begins on June 1 and ends on May 31 of the following year.

Once all application materials have been received, you will be contacted for a initial phone interview. Once phone interviews have been completed, you will be notified if you have been selected for an on-site facility tour and personal interview.
An applicant will be selected by the end of January 2011.
Requirements:
Extern must have health and liability insurance through their University.
The Extern must have passed the national Praxis exam to be eligible for a provisionary Texas state license.
Prior to the June 1 start date, an affiliation agreement between the Center for Hearing and Speech and the University must be signed.
All paperwork must be completed through the State of Texas prior to beginning your Externship. The responsibility of obtaining an externship license will be that of the Extern.
Benefits:
A stipend may be available for the 2011-2012 externship year.
The Center for Hearing and Speech will cover the cost of your Texas State licensure.
The Center for Hearing and Speech will not provide medical, dental, retirement or liability benefits
