Used or unwanted cochlear implants and accessories in any condition are gratefully accepted as donations by The Center for Hearing and Speech. If you have a cochlear implant device or accessories that you are not using and they are in good shape, we may be able to refurbish them and use them as loaner devices for the children in our programs.
Some of our donated cochlear implants are also employed as teaching tools, either in demonstrations for parents and professionals, or in presentations to the public and at various universities.
Who are our cochlear implant donors?
• The relatives of cochlear implant users who have passed away
• People who have upgraded to a new device and no longer want to keep their old technology
What are the tax benefits?
Your hearing aid donation is valued at is the fair market value at the time of the gift. In order to determine the value of your donation, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your hearing aid. We will mail you a receipt confirming the number of hearing aids donated along with the provided fair market value.
